Role Description The Sr Commercial Closer is a full-time, remote/ or on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN. This position manages complex commercial real estate transactions from pre-opening through post-closing, including reviewing contracts, title commitments, and escrow instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance. The Sr Commercial Closer coordinates with clients, lenders, attorneys, brokers, and internal team members to collect documentation, resolve title and escrow issues, and schedule and facilitate closings. Daily responsibilities include preparing settlement statements, balancing files, overseeing the disbursement of funds, and ensuring that all closing and post-closing documents are properly executed, recorded, and delivered. The role also involves providing responsive client service, maintaining detailed records, adhering to regulatory and company policies, and contributing to process improvements and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, lenders, attorneys, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial closings and deal closure, with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions and deadlines.
- Experience with escrow procedures and practices, including document review, fund disbursement, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on building professional relationships and delivering a positive closing experience.
- Prior experience as a commercial closer, escrow officer, or in a similar role within title, real estate, or financial services.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
- Proficiency with closing software, title production systems, and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, and related legal and financial concepts; local market experience in Minneapolis is a plus.
