Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will recruit, train and motivate independent sales agents to sell UNL products. Candidate will need to have a good understanding of the always changing healthcare marketplace including supplemental product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales goals by successfully recruiting and supporting distribution partners to increase submitted, annualized health and life premium
- Build and maintain relationships with territory FMOs/IMOs, General Agencies and Agents
- Work with UNL’s sales leadership team to identify trends in our marketplace and leverage opportunities to generate additional new business revenue
- Provide regular product training classes both virtually and on-site
- Develop a thorough understanding of all UNL products, services and administrative capabilities and regularly communicate with the leadership team
- Ability to travel to visit distribution partners (up to 50% of the time)
Experience/Education
- 5 years of proven industry experience specifically related to the sales and marketing of insurance products through multiple distribution channels
- Experience selling and/or wholesaling supplemental insurance products such as Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, hospital indemnity and critical illness products is a huge plus.
- Detailed understanding of the insurance industry and experience interacting with distribution leadership
- Must also have demonstrated leadership ability, strong relationship building skills and be comfortable speaking in front of large group
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
