Marketing Technology Intern

At Guarantee Electrical Company, we love providing students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience through our internship program. We are currently seeking a Marketing Technology Intern to join our Denver, CO team and provide direct support to our Marketing team. As an intern, your role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of project data that supports business development, proposal pursuits, project profiling, strategic planning, project storytelling, and company-wide reporting.

This internship is for Summer 2027 (internship traditionally run from Mid-May to Mid-August, however we do offer some flexibility)

Responsibilities:

Project Knowledge Management

• Assist with project lifecycle tracking by capturing and updating project information from pursuit through project completion.
• Audit and validate project data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
• Conduct research on current and completed projects to gather performance metrics, project milestones, delivery methods, market sector information, and other key project data.
• Support proposal and business development efforts by identifying and retrieving relevant project experience information.
• Partner with project managers, preconstruction teams, and marketing staff to collect, verify, and maintain project information across multiple systems and throughout the project lifecycle.

Process Improvement

• Identify duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent records, and support data cleanup initiatives.
• Develop working relationships with operations personnel to understand project scope, outcomes, lessons learned, and differentiators.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes, workflows, and information management practices.
• Help map how project information moves between platforms and identify opportunities to reduce duplicate data entry.

Data Management Technology

• Maintain project records within OpenAsset, Quickbase, SharePoint, and other project technology platforms.
• Update project records through the project lifecycle in OpenAsset, Quickbase, Sharepoint, and viewpoint.
• Help document data standards, field definitions, naming conventions, and sources of truth across Marketing systems.
• Assist with reporting, data analysis, and dashboard preparation to support marketing and business development decision-making.
• Organize, catalog, and manage project documentation, images, and supporting materials to improve future accessibility and usability
• Other Marketing and/or internal events support, as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management systems.
• Ability to maintain high standards of data accuracy and quality control.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of database management principles and information organization.
• Ability to learn and navigate marketing technology platforms and databases.
• Knowledge of OpenAsset, Quickbase, CRM systems, or similar platforms preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with project and operational personnel.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable business information.

Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and synthesize it into accurate, usable records.
• Comfortable communicating with project teams and building professional relationships across departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
• Interest in marketing technology, data management, business intelligence, knowledge management, or the construction industry.
