Scope of Responsibility
This position is also responsible for ensuring that appointment data is entered into Expanse/HIS accurately and completely.
Responsible to the Director of Rehab Services
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Training and Experience- Two years experience in patient registration or closely related field preferred. Hospital patient registration or physician office scheduling/patient registration experience preferred, or bachelors/associate degree
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with attention to detail, handle urgent tasks and exercise good independent judgment when necessary
- Ability to use personal computers including knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with customers, both internal and external, including but not limited to: coworkers, patients, patients family members, physicians, physician office staff and insurance company representatives
