Scope of Responsibility

This position is also responsible for ensuring that appointment data is entered into Expanse/HIS accurately and completely.

• Education

• • High School diploma or equivalent
• 
  Training and Experience
• • Two years experience in patient registration or closely related field preferred. Hospital patient registration or physician office scheduling/patient registration experience preferred, or bachelors/associate degree
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with attention to detail, handle urgent tasks and exercise good independent judgment when necessary
  • Ability to use personal computers including knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with customers, both internal and external, including but not limited to: coworkers, patients, patients family members, physicians, physician office staff and insurance company representatives
