To-Go Specialist (Part-Time) Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant ·324 W Water St, Syracuse, NY 13202
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Hours: Part-time, 20–25 hours per week
Schedule: Must be available weekends
Payday: Weekly, every Friday
About the role
Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant is hiring a To-Go Specialist to run our takeout counter. You're often the first person a guest talks to, on the phone or at the counter, and the last to hand them their food. We want every order to be right and on time, and every guest to feel welcome.
What you'll do
- Greet every guest who walks up or calls, even while you're packing another order
- Take phone orders and ring them into the POS accurately, including modifiers and current promotions
- Ask about allergies on every food order and flag them on the ticket and with the kitchen
- Manage orders from our third-party delivery tablets
- Check, bag and label every order before it goes out
- Take payment and hand off pickup orders at the counter
- Stock to-go supplies and packaging, and keep the To-Go station clean through closing
What we're looking for
- Available weekends
- Friendly and confident on the phone and with guests
- Organized and detail-oriented, because accuracy matters
- Able to stay calm when it gets busy
- Restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
