This role combines hands-on engineering, design oversight, and project execution within process facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are designed, installed, and operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn equipment lifecycle management, including specification, selection, procurement, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing technical supportEnsure compliance with ASME Section VIII (Div. 1) and ASME B31.3 for pressure vessels and process pipingCollaborate with Process, Electrical, and Controls Engineering teams to design and commission new systemsServe as a subject matter expert for rotating equipment, supporting troubleshooting, reliability, and maintenance strategiesSupport capital improvement projects, assisting with scope definition, schedules, and budget managementProvide engineering leadership for equipment installation, modification, and maintenance activitiesWork safely in industrial environments and comply with OSHA and site safety requirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field8 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical processing, or gas processing environmentsStrong experience with rotating equipment (compressors, blowers, mixers)Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Div. 1) and Process Piping Code (B31.3)Proven leadership experience on small-to-mid-size capital projects (≈ $500K budgets)Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experienceAbility to manage contractors for equipment installation, maintenance, and modificationsStrong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to travel up to 50%Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPreferred:Direct experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, and/or industrial mixersProject engineering or project management experience (cost and schedule control)Experience in gas processing, oil & gas, chemical, or environmental sustainability industries (biogas, renewable energy, waste treatment)Familiarity with industrial gases and pipeline safetyMilitary technical trainingWorking Conditions & SafetyEnvironment: Office process facilitiesSafety Sensitive Position: YesPPE: Provided by clientLifting Requirement: Up to 50 lbsChemical Exposure: Possible (training provided)Pre-Screen QuestionsHow much experience do you have with compressors and/or flammable gas service equipment?Do you have 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, including rotating equipment and pressure-containing systems?Have you led capital improvement projects with budgets of approximately $500K or more?Do you have experience managing contractors for equipment installation, maintenance, or modification?BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401(k) Retirement FundAbout the CompanyA global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, operating in over 60 countries and serving more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide.
