This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and delivering a safe, accurate, and professional patient experience while maintaining confidentiality and documentation accuracy.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established forensic and clinical procedures.Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to approved practices and procedures.Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signatures post-venipuncture to confirm accurate specimen labeling.Explain procedures clearly and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence for patients.Maintain accurate records and required documentation.Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.Support assignments in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate.Complete training at locations that may vary based on trainer availability.Work Schedule & Availability:Days – Eastern TimeFlexible availability required, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtimeMust be available whenever scheduled, arrive on time, and remain for the full shiftExcessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may result in terminationRequired Experience:Minimum of 2–3 years of professional phlebotomy experienceAbility to work independently with minimal on-site supervisionExperience working in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsRequired Skills:Phlebotomy for pediatric and geriatric patientsStrong patient-facing customer service and communicationAccurate specimen handling, labeling, and documentationPreferred Skills:Ability to adapt quickly to change and shifting prioritiesStrong collaboration skills with peers, supervisors, and patientsAdditional Skills:Clinical and forensic specimen collectionMultisite coverage with minimal noticeSound judgment and decision-making using established proceduresAbility to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume settingCredentialing & Compliance:Hospital site assignment requiring additional credentialingReliable transportation required (bus, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable transportation)Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, if applicableBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:A leading provider of diagnostic information services dedicated to empowering healthier lives.
