Position Summary
The primary function of an Account Manager is to establish and maintain strong client relationships and develop strategies to improve sales with new and existing accounts across multiple yards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inside sales support for strategic accounts
- Develop relationships with new and underperforming accounts
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer service
- Increase the sale of new products and identify opportunities for expanding the overall product offering
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, orders, quotes and pricing
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending PKs, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Answer technical questions across the entire product line
- Collaborate with outside sales and yard managers to develop an overall sales strategy focused on growth and profitability
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Proficient in Trend, MS TEAMS, GTS Direct and the Web Dashboard/Portal

- Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers
- Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and grow existing accounts
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in stationary position 80%
- Frequently, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Constantly working in office environment
