SUMMARY

Provides high levels of customer service and answers multi-informational phone calls.   Will work with Ticketmaster systems and sell our venue and others through this system.  On performance nights will set up showroom and usher guests to their seats.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Box Office sales as needed.
  • Must have excellent monetary instrument handling.
  • Usher at entrance on performance nights; give direction to the customers.
  • Work with Stagehands, Bar Staff and Security for the overall smooth operation of the Showroom.
  • Able to be versatile in multitask requirements of showroom/event duties.
  • Be knowledgeable about performers and performances.
  • Assist with showroom productions and events as assigned.
  • Assist in set-up and tear down of chairs and tables in Showroom and outdoor events.
  • Sell Artist’s merchandise, keeping correct totals and percentages. Act as wardrobe person if required.
  • Assist Supervisors with various tasks.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Maintain appearance, cleanliness and assets of the Showroom.
  • Other job duties as assigned by supervisor. 

 

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written.   Must be a team player with a positive attitude.  Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time.  Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and 

time.  Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality.  Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information.   The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position.  Must be able to work well without direct supervision.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum age is 18. High School Diploma, a GED or equivalent experience required. Solid organizational skills and customer service skills.  Prefer previous nightclub or bar experience.

Ticketing System, Theatrical risers and seating

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.  May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion. Will be subjected to exceptionally loud music. Must be comfortable with heights. 

 

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional.  Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective.  Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

When working in Box Office it is an office setting.  While on floor, must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, and smoking environment. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance.   May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces.  Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA. Work varied hours, including late nights and weekends.

 

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply.  Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked.  Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
