Position Overview
Account Manager
Hybrid; onsite Mondays and Thursdays
Compensation:
Base salary $60,000 – $65,000 | High commission opportunity - OTE 90-100k
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the full quote-to-bind lifecycle for commercial lines business submitted by member agencies across the DFW territory.
Working in close partnership with field-based Commercial Field Sales Coaches, this role serves as the remote operational engine behind new business production — turning agent submissions into competitive quotes, navigating carrier markets, and driving pipeline growth through consistent follow-through and expert placement strategy.
This is not a direct sales role with a personal quota. Success is measured by the quality and speed of support provided to member agencies, enabling them to close more commercial business. The Account Manager is a trusted partner to agents, carriers, and internal teammates alike.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Submission Management
- Receive, review, and process new business submission requests tracked in Salesforce.
- Audit applications and bind requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Proactively contact member agents to collect missing information or resolve unclear details needed to quote or bind accounts.
- Distribute and manage quotes based on mentorship assignments and agent relationships.
Quoting & Carrier Placement
- Finalize and submit quotes through appropriate insurance carrier portals or systems based on market eligibility and new business restrictions.
- Forward quotes to the ISM for review prior to delivery.
- Research and present alternative coverage options when standard markets are unavailable, including E&S markets.
- Develop working knowledge of Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines placement and markets.
- Issue policies through carrier websites upon receipt of complete bind requests.
- Assist agents with complex placements and multi-market strategies.
Agency Support & Relationship Management
- Quote alongside agents and walk new member agents
- Assist with renewal remarketing and retention strategy.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with member agents that result in consistent pipeline activity.
Pipeline & Performance
- Meet and/or exceed all assigned submission goals and turnaround time standards.
- Monitor and maintain pipeline activity in Salesforce; ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
- Conduct quality assurance audits on submissions and issued policies.
- Identify trends in field activity and communicate opportunities to leadership.
Collaboration & Additional Duties
- Coordinate and participate in member meetings and training sessions as needed.
- Assist with marketing content creation in support of member-facing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet production objectives.
- Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Additional duties as directed by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in personal lines and/or commercial lines insurance.\
- Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Experience working within carrier portals and agency management or quoting platforms preferred.
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plus.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working with agents, carrier reps, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, automated environment.
- Self-directed and productive in a remote work setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new technology platforms.
- Professional, polished, and reliable in all member and carrier interactions.
