Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on site / in office role based in Stamford, CT, responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout. This role includes developing project plans, schedules, and budgets; coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients; and ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within budget. The Project Manager will lead daily project meetings, manage RFIs and submittals, track progress, and proactively resolve issues related to scope, schedule, and quality. Additional responsibilities include overseeing inspections, managing logistics and material deliveries, maintaining site documentation, and enforcing safety and compliance standards. The Project Manager is expected to foster clear communication among stakeholders and support GTL’s commitment to client satisfaction and high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in Expediting and experience working as an Expeditor to ensure timely permits, approvals, and material deliveries.
- Candidates should possess Inspection-related skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee site inspections and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to oversee supply chain, site deliveries, and resource allocation for multiple trades.
- Relevant experience in commercial construction (e.g., retail, medical, office, hospitality or multi‑residential) and familiarity with general contracting or construction management environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams and clients.
- Proficiency with construction management software and standard office tools; ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in project management.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality control, and risk management on active job sites.
