The Quality Control Supervisor in a manufacturing setting is responsible for overseeing the inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This role ensures that production processes consistently yield high-quality outputs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of quality control inspectors and technicians.
- Provide training and guidance on inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure coverage across shifts.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Ensure products meet internal specifications and external regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits and external audits.
- Analyze defect trends and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance product quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance systems.
- Proficiency in quality control software and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA).
- 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
