GTI Energy is seeking an experienced MRO / VMI Manager to lead maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procurement activities while overseeing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs across the organization. Key Responsibilities
MRO Procurement Management
- Lead daily MRO purchasing operations to support manufacturing and facility needs
- Develop and manage procurement strategies for indirect materials, tooling, consumables, and maintenance supplies
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and service agreements with suppliers
- Ensure timely processing and execution of purchase orders and supplier commitments
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery accuracy, and cost savings initiatives
- Manage and improve VMI programs to ensure inventory availability while minimizing excess stock
- Partner with suppliers to establish stocking levels, replenishment strategies, and inventory controls
- Conduct inventory reviews, cycle counts, and usage analysis to improve inventory optimization
- Monitor inventory KPIs including stockouts, turns, obsolete inventory, and supplier fill rates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and replenishment processes
- Lead and mentor Procurement Coordinators and purchasing support staff
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, and Finance teams to resolve material issues
- Support new supplier onboarding, compliance documentation, and vendor performance reviews
- Develop standardized procurement and inventory management procedures
- Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership regarding procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory metrics
- Maintain accurate procurement and inventory data within ERP systems
- Generate reports on spend analysis, shortages, supplier performance, and inventory trends
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational improvements
- Support implementation of Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations
- 5 years of procurement, supply chain, MRO, or inventory management experience
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRO purchasing and Vendor Managed Inventory programs
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong ERP, Excel, and procurement systems experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- APICS, CPM, CPSM, or related certification preferred
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations is a plus

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
