Position Summary
GTI Energy is seeking a hands-on, safety-driven Maintenance Technician to support our Goodyear manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in a fast-paced, ramp-up environment. The ideal candidate will thrive on solving problems, working cross-functionally, and pivoting quickly to meet the demands of a start-up and growth-phase plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, motors, conveyors, and production equipment.
- Maintain facility systems including lighting, air compressors, and fire suppression.
- Support infrastructure improvements, installs, and relocations of equipment.
- Respond to maintenance service requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Document all maintenance work through CMMS or other maintenance tracking tools.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA safety standards and GTI safety policies.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work at heights, and in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Must be available for overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
- Technical certification in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or electrical trades is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
