The 3-year apprentice programme will initially cover maintenance, repair and inspections of the Renault Trucks range, and will be completed with the development of your skills in complex vehicle diagnostics and electric vehicle systems.
As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in a dealer workshop and receive on-the-job training under the guidance of a skilled mentor. Course Content
- IMI Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship
- Employer Rights & Responsibilities
- Functional Skills minimum Level 4 in Maths and English
- Materials, fabrication, tools, and measuring devices used in the commercial vehicle environment
- Inspection of heavy vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units, including pneumatic braking systems
- Diagnosing and rectifying engine, transmission, and electrical system faults
- Commissioning and decommissioning high voltage systems on battery electric vehicles
- Ensuring health and safety standards
- Contributing to workplace housekeeping
