We have an immediate opening for a Body Shop Estimator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel truck repair and be able to accurately appraise vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair or customization. Requirements:- Project management to include tracking parts, status updates, and maintain schedule.
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of damage related to the said incident.
- Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
- Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
- Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and customers.
- Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills with staff, customers, and insurance providers.
- Organized and able to track multiple projects at one time.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and estimating software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Two to four years related experience and/or training.
- Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
