Stacker/Packer

Summary:

It is the duties of the case stacker to remove cases / packages of finished product from the conveyors, stack on pallets in a pattern indicated by the product spec sheets and prepare the palletized unit for shipping. In addition they expected to keep the work area clean and free of clutter along with other tasks assigned by the Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

· Arriving on the job at least 10 minutes before the start of the shift.

· Remaining on the job until the end of the shift.

· Removing cases / packages from the conveyors and stacking on pallets.

· Maintain a work pace that matches product flow.

· When the infinity is not operating remove cases / packages from the line to keep production moving.

· Un-jamming and restarting Infinity and Case taper.

· Reworking product back onto the line or second quality cases.

· 12 hour rotating shift.

· Other duties assigned based on business needs.

Housekeeping:

· Sweeping around the work area throughout the shift.

· Pick up clutter from work area.

· Wipe down conveyors.

· When ever the line is down they are to clean the work area or rework product. Unless directed to do other tasks.

Safety:

· Do not wear loose fitting cloths and jewelry that could get caught in machinery.

· Steel toe shoes required.

· Wear gloves when handling pallets.

· Use safe lifting techniques.

· Use caution when using stairs to cross over conveyors.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 1 year working experience.

· Basic knowledge of computer use, good math skills, basic mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

· 1 year working experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· Good communication skills.

· Must maintain excellent safety and attendance performance.
