Our partner Slalom’s McLean, VA office is seeking Senior Consultants in Data & Analytics to design, develop, and implement advanced analytics solutions that enable organizations to unlock the full value of their data. In this role, you will apply cutting-edge analytical techniques, data engineering, and machine learning to transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement techniques, algorithms, and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful, business-ready information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
- Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and predictive analytics to extract, analyze, and interpret insights from large datasets.
- Leverage historical data to build predictive models, perform trend analysis, and deliver data-driven insights that support key business decisions.
- Design and architect scalable data science and analytics solutions on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support production deployment of models, including MLOps frameworks and tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow).
- Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to support data science use cases and solution development.
- Communicate analytics findings by visualizing and presenting data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for analytics workflows, processes, and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a data science/software engineering–related occupation.
- Hands-on experience leveraging historical data to develop predictive models and provide data-driven business insights.
- Proficiency in predictive modeling methods and analytics tools/software such as R, Python, and associated libraries/toolkits including PySpark, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, SpaCy, Gensim, and NLTK.
- Experience architecting and building data/analytics solutions using a major cloud platform.
- Demonstrated success in data-driven storytelling and communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Experience with production model deployment and MLOps, including Kubeflow and MLflow.
- Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets in support of data science use cases.
- Experience developing clear technical documentation and SOPs for technical tools and processes.
- Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated client sites within commuting distance of Slalom’s McLean, VA office.
