What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Business Development position at GTD Infrastructure?
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for leading the sales
organization and driving revenue growth across multiple markets. This role requires a
dynamic individual with a strong outside sales background along with business
development and management skills to shape the sales strategy, customer relationships
and account management to ensure achievement of organizational goals.
Frequent travel is required to build and maintain business relationships in Texas,
Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, or any other state as dictated by
business needs. Travel is often required with minimal notice.
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company
objectives to expand market share and increase revenue.
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team
targets through coaching, training, and performance management.
Drive business development initiatives by identifying new market
opportunities and building strong relationships with prospective clients.
Oversee all aspects of outside sales efforts, including prospecting,
presentations, negotiations, and closing deals.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that support sales
growth and brand positioning.
Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities, analyze data for
insights, and forecast future performance.
Maintain high levels of customer service by ensuring client needs are met
effectively and efficiently.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and technological
advancements to adapt strategies accordingly.
Manage key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term
partnerships.
Prepare reports for executive leadership on sales performance metrics,
pipeline status, and strategic initiatives.
Other duties and projects assigned.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Proven experience in outside sales with a strong record of achieving or
exceeding targets in B2B environments.
Demonstrated management skills with experience leading high-performing
sales teams.
Expertise in technology sales, technical sales, or related fields is highly
desirable.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing
customer relationships and analyzing data.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close complex deals effectively.
Solid background in business development and account management
strategies.
Analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights
for strategic planning.
Leadership qualities that inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive
results.
Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service

Physical Requirements:
Ability to exert light physical effort through reaching, bending, sitting or
standing for long periods of time, lifting or carrying, pushing and pulling up
to 50 pounds.
Ability to spend several consecutive hours in a vehicle or airplane.
Close visual acuity for reading screens and documents, as well as repetitive
hand and finger use for typing, operating office machines, and document
handling.
Ability to regularly work inside a controlled temperature building, on
jobsites and within field locations.
Pay, Benefits and Perks:
Pay: $240,000-325,000 annual base salary (dependent upon experience, and fit)
