At GTCC, you'll be part of a supportive, dynamic, and inclusive culture committed to delivering exceptional results, making it a truly amazing place to work and thrive.The Faculty Fellows Program is a new and innovative program that seeks to recruit faculty who are qualified to teach a broad range of subjects across the diversity of GTCC’s service areas.The Faculty Fellows Program was born out of the merger between two highly successful faculty training programs. The Faculty Fellows Program will continue to be dedicated to high-quality training around best practices in teaching and ensure that new faculty have the support needed to “Make Amazing” happen in and outside of the classroom.Faculty Fellows will onboard in June and January and work towards completing 48 hours of training over the corresponding semesters. Training topics include an overview of the community college system and its student/faculty demographics, preparation for class, assessment of student learning, effective and inclusive classroom strategies, and culturally relevant/responsive pedagogy. Faculty Fellows are eligible to teach during the fall and spring semesters and work with a faculty and peer mentors during their teaching semesters.
