Shape flight-critical components with precision Picture the start of your day: at 5:30 a.m., you power up a multi-axis machining center and review your plan for a complex aerospace component. You walk through the routed instructions and manufacturing process plan, study the blueprint and GD&T callouts, and stage your tooling to execute a clean, efficient setup. With confident edits to G- and M-code at the control, you prove out the program, load and save revisions, validate dimensions with handheld metrology tools, and sign off your router before moving the part to its next operation. That’s a typical morning on our team. What you’ll do Set up and prove out programs on 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines and machining centers.Machine complex parts in metals and composites to meet exacting aerospace and defense tolerances.Follow routed instructions, process plans, blueprints, and verbal direction with moderate supervision.Plan setups and select tooling based on the setup sheet and job requirements.Use a range of handheld measuring instruments to verify features and dimensions.Read and edit G- and M-code; write programs at the machine when needed.Upload/download programs at the control and maintain revision accuracy.Complete routers as each operation is successfully finished prior to moving work forward. Schedules First Shift: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days starting at 5:30 a.m. (50-hour work week with overtime).Second Shift: choose from 4x10, 5x10, or 4x12 schedules.Second shift receives a 25% pay differential. What you bring Background from a high school machine trades program (preferred).Proven ability to read/edit G&M code.Blueprint literacy and working knowledge of GD&T.Strong mechanical intuition and spatial reasoning.
