As our CNC Milling Cell Supervisor, you’ll orchestrate people, processes, and precision to deliver exceptional results. Why This Role Matters You keep work moving to the ERP master schedule—partnering with the Production Scheduler to sequence, adjust, and finish on time.You enforce the discipline of standard work and process control plans so quality is built-in, not inspected-in.You transform issues into improvements using Kata, QEK, and structured problem-solving tools. What You’ll Own Planning & readiness: Review travelers and drawings; confirm tooling, fixtures, materials, and gaging are staged for each Maker.Quality at the source: Conduct required in-process checks; validate that parts meet drawings and specifications.Accountability & reporting: Complete accurate job paperwork, including good counts and scrap documentation.Compliance & audits: Check adherence to standard work instructions and control plans; correct deviations immediately.Scrap minimization: Facilitate root-cause reviews for unplanned scrap with employees and supervision; install effective countermeasures.Safety leadership: Model safe work practices, champion 6S, and verify daily checklist completion.Technical unblocker: Act as a resource to resolve production obstacles and escalate issues promptly.Team development: Lead, mentor, and train Makers; provide performance input and recommend individual skill-building plans.Continuous improvement: Drive QEK ideas, support Kata walks, and pursue scrap reduction, rework elimination, and higher metal removal rates.Culture carrier: Demonstrate leadership that reflects our core values; perform other related duties as needed. Must-Haves High school diploma or GED.Advanced use of shop metrology: calipers, micrometers (including intra-mics), and gauges.Experience in a high-mix precision machining environment.Track record setting up and operating vertical CNC milling machines.Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended durations.Forklift/material handling capability.Clear written and verbal communication.Computer literacy; comfortable with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.Proven multitasker in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Nice-to-Haves Mastercam programming and troubleshooting experience.Background with Lean and quality systems: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, AS9100D.
