About the Role:

The Bell Services Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for guests of Innisbrook Resort. This position is responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, providing directions, and facilitating smooth arrivals and departures. The role requires physical stamina to handle lifting and standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to navigate stairs and various weather conditions. The attendant acts as a first point of contact, representing Salamander's commitment to exceptional customer service. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation and legacy of Innisbrook.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Capability to maneuver safely up and down stairs while carrying items.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating hotel vehicles.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of local area and hotel facilities to assist guests effectively.
  • Basic first aid training.
  • Multilingual abilities to communicate with diverse guests.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to luggage handling and vehicle operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage upon arrival and departure.
  • Provide courteous and prompt service, including escorting guests to their rooms or vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell services area and equipment.
  • Operate hotel vehicles when necessary to transport guests or luggage.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Navigate stairs and outdoor areas safely while managing guest belongings.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service.

Skills:

The required skills such as lifting and standing on a regular basis are essential for managing guest luggage efficiently and safely throughout the day. Maneuvering up and down stairs ensures the attendant can assist guests in all areas of the property, including those without elevator access. Working outdoors in all types of weather demands resilience and adaptability to maintain service quality regardless of conditions. Engaging in repetitive motions is common when handling luggage and equipment, requiring physical endurance and attention to ergonomics. Driving an automobile is necessary for transporting guests or luggage between locations, demanding responsible and safe driving practices.
