Packing Associate - Night Shift

Position Summary

The Packing Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing finished products for a production line for shipment. This position involves boxing, taping, and stacking the items onto pallets in the assigned work area. Additionally, this position involves executing routine tasks with consistency and attention to detail ensuring overall quality within repetitive processes.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with supervisor for daily goals and briefings

• Collect the finished products from a conveyor belt and place them in assembled boxes

• Run assembled boxes through the tape machine and move them through a conveyor belt

• Ensure boxes are properly taped, labeled, packed and ready for shipping

• Lift, place, and organize boxes onto pallets

• Follow all safety, quality, and workflow procedures

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Assist team members as needed

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Able to proficiently read, write and speak in English

• Basic arithmetic skills

• Good Dexterity

• Able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects between 10-50 lbs

• Must be able to stand for the entire shift

• Must be able to regularly kneel, stoop, walk, and crouch.

Experience and Education

• High School diploma or GED

• At least 18 years of age

Work Environment

This position will be in an indoor, non-air-conditioned warehouse, with evaporative coolers. Temperatures are between 50 degrees F and 85 degrees F depending on the season. There will be exposure to the heat in summer and exposure to machinery and noise.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday; 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Pay: $12.00 – $14:00 hourly depending on experience
