Substitute Driver
Duties
- Operate a school bus van, to transport students safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of trips any incidents that occur during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Valid 7D license
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with parents, teachers, and students.
- A clean driving record with no major violations.
If you do not have your 7D License, we provide training and will help you achieve it.
Substitute Monitor
Duties
- Supervise students during bus rides to ensure their safety and adherence to rules.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they do so safely.
- Manage student behavior by implementing effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain awareness of any medical needs of students.
- Support special education students by providing additional assistance as required.
- Educate students on appropriate bus conduct and conflict resolution techniques.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages respect and cooperation among all passengers.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children is preferred.
- Familiarity with classroom dynamics and behavior management techniques is beneficial.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
7D License is required but we are available to train you and help you achieve it.
