Description
The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations within the Production area, ensuring work orders are completed accurately, safely, and on time. This role is hands-on and will be trained in all production duties, including work order processing, machinery operation, quality verification, and labor coordination. The Production Supervisor is responsible for developing the production schedule, assigning work, and leading the team to meet customer demand and operational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain the daily/weekly production schedule to ensure work orders are completed on time and in priority order.
- Assign, coordinate, and oversee production work to meet deadlines for hot orders, build-for-stock, and scheduled customer orders.
- Train and retrain employees on SWIs, production tasks, safety procedures, and proper equipment use.
- Operate and assist employees with production machinery (hose assembly, kitting machine, value-add tooling, etc.).
- Ensure quality standards are met through visual verification, adherence to QPs, PPDs, and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Production area aligned with 5S standards.
- Monitor work order progress, update statuses, and communicate delays or resource needs to the Operations Manager.
- Support time studies, labor optimization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse teams, inside sales, and leadership to maintain production flow.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues promptly.
- Complete accurate work order documentation and transactions in the ERP system.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license to assist with delivery vehicles if needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Education and/or Experience
- Experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operations.
- Experience leading or supervising a team preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems (P21 experience is a plus).
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, management, customers, and vendors.
Computer Skills
- Ability to operate basic computer functions within ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to operate customer-driven programs as required.
