In this position, you will have direct training with a variety of instrumentation including digital PCR platforms, mass spec, NGS, as well as other functions in the company.
Primary Job Duties
- Process daily sample load, extracting nucleic acids and performing digital PCR.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, following good documentation practices under ISO 13485.
- Support method optimization and lead new product on-boarding.
- Analyze all data generated within lab for reporting.
- Identify issues as they occur and provide troubleshooting guidance.
- Cross-train in other departments to support company growth.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following disciplines – Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
- 2 years post-graduate experience in a molecular biology lab, or 1 with M.S.
- Strong understanding of nucleic acid extraction techniques and quantitative/digital PCR.
- Ability to troubleshoot day-to-day and complex errors.
- Ability to learn sample preparation and testing on mass spec instrumentation under supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines
- Training peers on new protocols/methods.
- Good documentation skills and ability to write procedures and reports.
- Be self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
- Engaged in the work we do as it impacts public health.
Desired:
- Relevant experience in a GMP or a CLIA lab environment
- Proficiency with Excel formulas/VBA.
- Experience with ERP, LIMS, or Quality Management Systems
Wage Notice: $50,000 - $70,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
