Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager
Purpose:
Responsible for efficiently performing high-quality repairs on machinery and components at customer locations or job sites. Ensures construction equipment is properly lubricated on-site, completing tasks promptly and thoroughly in accordance with manufacturer and dealership guidelines and time requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs oil changes on customer equipment at their locations or on their jobsites
Drive and maintain a Mobile Lube Truck in an organized, clean and safe manner
Complete Preventative Maintenance Services according to manufacturer requirements
Perform multipoint inspections on each machine serviced
Provide value added services to reduce customer downtime
Track services performed in John Deere Operations Center
Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary.
Checks tire pressures and adds air, as needed
Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases in repair
Operates and maintains all lubrication equipment in good condition
Assists the service department, as needed
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Complete John Deere University training as assigned
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Achieve the production objectives set by management
All other duties assigned
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Previous experience in servicing equipment and/or vehicles preferred
Valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance required
