The Opportunity: More Than a Job

This role is designed for a licensed Professional Engineer who is ready to move beyond project management and into business ownership. You will start as our lead Mechanical Engineer, with a clear, structured, and funded path to acquiring significant equity in the firm within 2-3 years.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

·        Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems for new construction and renovation projects.

·        Manage client relationships from proposal through construction administration, acting as a trusted advisor.

·        Mentor and oversee design staff and external resources.

·        Contribute to business development by leveraging your network and participating in proposals.

·        Play a key role in implementing new technologies (e.g. BIM/Revit capabilities, energy modeling).

·        Collaborate directly with the firm's Principal on strategic planning, operational efficiency, and growth initiatives.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State and Connecticut (or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive MEP design and project management experience, with a strong portfolio in multifamily and commercial buildings.
• Proven expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design, energy code compliance, and construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is a significant plus.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
