Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with a robust background in both network infrastructure and software development. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex network engineering initiatives and software-defined solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical projects at Comcast, ensuring that architectural integrity, performance, and scalability are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of complex networking projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between Network Engineering, Software Development, and Operations teams to streamline integration and deployment.
- Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, establish detailed roadmaps, manage resource allocation, and monitor progress against milestones.
- Technical Integration: Leverage your development background to oversee the implementation of automated network solutions, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify technical dependencies, security vulnerabilities, or infrastructure bottlenecks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Communication: Present project status, performance metrics (KPIs), and technical insights to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Drive excellence by overseeing rigorous testing, including integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure system stability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of total professional experience, with a proven track record in both Network Infrastructure and Software Development environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) alongside software development lifecycles (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Project Management Expertise: Deep proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies, with extensive experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated capability to make data-driven decisions regarding capacity planning, budget management, and technical trade-offs.
