What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trucking Dispatcher position at GSR Brokerage Inc.?
- We are hiring an experienced Dispatcher to manage our semi-trucks (reefer & dry van). Must have strong reefer freight experience and be willing to handle shop visits, yard checks, booking loads, dispatching drivers, hiring drivers, and being on-call when needed.
Responsibilities
- Book loads & dispatch drivers
- Track loads and maintain communication
- Handle reefer temp requirements
- Visit repair shops & yard for equipment checks
- Manage breakdowns, roadside service, tow calls
- Hire and onboard drivers
- Update TMS and collect POD/BOL paperwork
- Handle after-hours emergencies (on-call)
Requirements
- 2 years dispatch experience (reefer preferred)
- Strong load board experience (DAT/Truckstop)
- Good communication & problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation for shop/yard visits
- Must be available on-call
- Bilingual (Punjabi/Spanish) a plus
