AI Engineer – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an innovative and technically strong AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions that drive business transformation and operational efficiency. The AI Engineer will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to build intelligent applications leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, NLP, and cloud-native AI platforms.

This role requires expertise in AI model development, prompt engineering, model integration, data pipelines, and production-grade deployment of AI-powered applications and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions for enterprise and customer-facing applications.
• Develop and integrate Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and AI agents.
• Build AI-powered applications including chatbots, copilots, recommendation engines, document intelligence solutions, and automation platforms.
• Develop and optimize machine learning pipelines for training, inference, monitoring, and model lifecycle management.
• Implement prompt engineering strategies and AI orchestration frameworks to improve model accuracy and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Integrate AI services with enterprise applications, APIs, cloud platforms, and data pipelines.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs supporting AI applications.
• Deploy AI and ML models using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Implement monitoring, observability, security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Optimize AI model performance, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Support MLOps processes including CI/CD, automated testing, versioning, and model governance.
• Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate opportunities for enterprise adoption.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AI engineering standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• 5 years of software engineering, machine learning, or AI engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI/ML applications in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with Generative AI platforms and LLM frameworks such as:
• OpenAI
• AWS Bedrock
• Azure OpenAI
• LangChain
• LlamaIndex
• Hugging Face
• CrewAI
• LangGraph
• Experience implementing RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application development.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and data engineering concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Knowledge of MLOps and model governance frameworks.
• Experience with NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate, or FAISS.
• Experience with streaming data platforms and real-time AI processing.
• Exposure to data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark.
• Experience implementing AI security, compliance, and responsible AI controls.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
