What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Career Engineer/Scientist/Geologist position at GSI ENVIRONMENTAL INC?
This position entails conducting field investigations and assisting the project team in evaluation and reporting field investigation results under the direction of a senior professional.
Duties include:
- Supporting preparation of technical documents, including quality assurance project plans, monitoring/sampling plans, health and safety plans, field records, and regulatory reports
- Performing assignments requiring application of standardized techniques procedures and criteria
- Performing field observations and sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, etc.)
- Compiling and evaluating technical data and coordinating with laboratories
- Managing environmental data and databases
- Communicating with subcontractors and other staff
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field; Master’s degree a plus 0 to 2 years of experience
- Experience with data management, review, and analysis
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWWOPER certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- Ability to travel
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
