GSG is seeking an experienced Pharmacist II for a unique part-time opportunity in Austin, TX. This position will initially support the setup and licensing of a new pharmacy and will transition to a flexible, ongoing weekly schedule once the pharmacy is established.

Schedule & Hours

This position will have two phases with different weekly hour expectations. Candidates must be comfortable with both phases of the assignment.

Phase I – Pharmacy Setup & Licensure

During the initial setup and licensing period, the Pharmacist may work up to approximately 30 hours per week.

Exact weekly hours may fluctuate depending on the needs of the pharmacy setup and licensing process. Hours will be scheduled during normal business hours with flexibility.

During this phase, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with the pharmacy licensing process
• Developing and implementing pharmacy policies
• Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Assisting with dispensing-machine setup and implementation
• Supporting additional operational and compliance needs associated with establishing the pharmacy

Phase II – Ongoing Pharmacy Operations

Once the pharmacy is established and licensed, the position is expected to transition to approximately 8 on-site hours per week.

The weekly schedule is flexible and may be arranged based on the pharmacist's availability and the department's operational needs. For example, the weekly hours could potentially be completed as one 8-hour day, two 4-hour days, or another agreed-upon schedule during normal business hours.

Candidates should be comfortable with the position transitioning from potentially higher hours during the initial setup phase to approximately 8 hours per week once the pharmacy is operational.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacist license as required for the position
• Class C pharmacy experience required
• 2–5 years of pharmacist experience
• Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred
• Experience developing pharmacy policies and procedures is highly desirable
• Knowledge of pharmacy licensing, regulatory requirements, and compliance
• Ability to assist with SOP development and pharmacy operational processes
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with department leadership
• Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX as required
