Position: Maintenance Associate Location: North Kansas City, Missouri
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-exempt Hourly
Company Overview:C&C Produce is the Midwest's largest produce wholesaler, providing top-quality produce since 1992. We are seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
General Labor (Maintenance) Job Duties:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the company's facilities.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are operational.
- Escalate high defective items for repair.
- Perform facility maintenance and repair equipment and buildings.
- Provide cleaning services and remove trash and recyclable materials.
- Oversee the work of contracted vendors as required.
- Attend training, safety programs, and staff meetings.
- Prepare accurate repair and cleaning reports.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace any equipment.
- Use power tools to fix wiring and piping.
- Receive orders or go out to acquire more supplies.
Job Requirements:
- Previous general labor or warehouse experience.
- 1 year of warehouse lift equipment experience, including electric pallet jack, sit-down forklift, and stand-up forklift. Forklift Certification preferred.
- 3 years of general building maintenance in a warehouse/industrial setting.
- Minimum 1 year of Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and legibly write instructions and communications.
- Excellent communication and social skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the day.
- Strong manual dexterity to manipulate objects.
- Able to primarily stand and walk throughout the shift.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (with some weekends as needed)
Hours: 7 am - 5 pm
