What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acquisition Director position at GSA, Public Buildings Service?
As a Acquisition Director, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all system and data management activities throughout PBS.
Location of position:The position is located in the Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), Public Buildings Service (PBS).

The GS-15 salary range starts at $150,359.00 per year.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience overseeing analytical and data management activities. This experience must include:

Utilizing electronic contract writing systems to track data used to support mission requirements in acquisition program management.

Performing analytical analysis to enhance organizational decision-making processes.

Designing, executing, and supporting project initiatives and systems to mitigate data duplication, improve integrity, and increase operational efficiency.

Implementing operating procedures, management controls, business processes, and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Provides analytical and data management oversight for the Office of Acquisition Management, Defines, approves, communicates, and implements strategies, initiatives, policies, procedures, tools, and responsibilities for data stewardship, data
management, and data analytics. Ensures alignment between GSA/PBS Data Strategy, Information Technology (IT) modernization strategy, and overall organizational strategy. Develops, implements and maintains a variety of frameworks,
systems and tools for PBS to address issues of data integrity, duplication and inefficiency. - Exercises a full range of supervisory and managerial responsibilities and ensures recruitment, development, and retention of highly skilled professional, technical, operational, and administrative workforce for the OAM organization. Establishes professional and technical development policy and, through subordinates, develops comprehensive training programs to assure availability of technical and managerial experts in the increasingly complex and revolutionary environment of acquisition.
- Oversees operations of the electronic contract writing system to provide consistent, modern, integrated procurement automation tools to the PBS acquisition community which meets the needs of users and management. Provides program management for
acquisition systems and procurement of Information Technology (IT) systems for acquisitions. - Provides leadership in establishing and maintaining management processes, internal controls and a work environment conducive to effective operations of the organization within PBS. Applies objective, analytical, and critical thinking to the
analysis of complex problems and supports this analysis with the application of a full suite of analytic tools and techniques. - Represents the Office of Acquisition Management at senior level meetings and conferences with the PBS Commissioner, GSA Administrator, Office of Federal Procurement Policy and the Office of Governmentwide Policy to resolve highly complex technical,
resource and data issues.
