Field Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Support the delivery, operation, and performance of utility-scale solar projects with a leading renewable energy contractor.
GS2 is partnered with a high-growth solar and storage EPC in the search for a Field Engineer to join their expanding O&M team in Minnesota. This is a site-based role, working directly on large-scale projects at the forefront of the clean energy transition.

What You’ll Do as the Field Engineer:
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of solar assets
- Provide oversight to ensure systems meet design and performance standards
- Operate and update technologies including inverters, relays, and SCADA
- Conduct safety assessments and complete compliance documentation
- Liaise with subcontractors, providing technical guidance and support
What You Bring:
- Electrical or engineering background (degree or equivalent technical training)
- Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintaining electrical power equipment; solar preferred
- Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license
