Senior Electrical Engineer
Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 bonus
Location: Minneapolis, Denver, or Remote
We are supporting a technical power systems consultancy with deep expertise in renewable energy integration (solar PV, BESS), substation design, and transmission.
They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who is not only a competent technical expert but also a strong leader, with full ownership over execution and delivery of power systems studies
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-lifecycle power system study projects, including steady-state and dynamic analyses
- Be the primary technical and commercial point of contact for clients.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; provide technical leadership.
- Define and drive process improvements in study workflows, modeling practices, and internal standards.
What You Bring
- Experience leading power system studies with hands-on use of: ETAP, PSCAD / EMTP, CYMCAP, WinIGS, CDEGS, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and other relevant reliability or grid interconnection codes.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel or MathCAD; experience scripting in Python or similar for study automation.
- A PE licence is strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing multi-discipline study teams, tracking financials, and delivering to tight deadlines.
