Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time Design Drafter position located in Bridgeport, CT. The Design Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings to support custom cabinet and furniture projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed plans and specifications, collaborating with design and production teams, and using CAD software to produce precise and accurate designs. The drafter will also ensure that drawings effectively communicate design intentions and meet project requirements.
Duties
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp.
- Develop accurate structural designs for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare detailed schematics, layouts, and plans for review and approval by engineers and project managers.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to interpret design specifications and translate them into technical drawings.
- Update and revise existing drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope.
- Assist in creating 2D animations for project presentations or client demonstrations.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company quality standards and project deadlines.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and related documentation for easy retrieval.

- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and general Drawing techniques
- Skills in Engineering Drawings and Architectural Drawings
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
- High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design and production teams
- Familiarity with woodworking or cabinetry design is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or certification in architecture, engineering, design, or related fields is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.72 per hour
Expected hours: 52 – 55 per week
