Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician – Apprentice / Trainee
Location: Fort McCoy / Tomah, WI
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Entry / Train-Up
Overtime / On-Call: None required
Gryphon Environmental is seeking a Building Automation Systems Apprentice to support the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. This position is designed for candidates with HVAC, electrical, or mechanical experience who want to transition into building automation and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior BAS technicians with system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Respond to alarms and system notifications
- Learn to adjust schedules, trends, and control parameters
- Support energy-use analysis and reporting
- Assist with troubleshooting BAS communications
- Maintain system documentation and building profiles
Qualifications:
- Background in HVAC, electrical, industrial maintenance, or facilities operations
- Technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to learn BAS/DDC systems
- Technical degree or certification preferred but not required
Additional Requirements:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to pass Department of Army background investigation
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%
