What are the responsibilities and job description for the GRYC Group Leader Summer Rising position at GRYC?
Group Leaders will be responsible for the safety, supervision and day to day schedule of a group of 25 elementary age children. Group leaders will assist with academic support and assist instructors during activities by participation, encouragement and mentoring. Work schedule will be Monday – Friday from 8:00am - 6:00pm. This is a summer position only from July 1st - August 14th.
Summary
As the GRYC Group Leader, you will be instrumental in overseeing and guiding a group of children in a camp setting, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Reporting to the Camp Director, your role will leverage your core skills in childcare and experience with children, while also utilizing premium skills in classroom management and first aid. You will foster personal growth and development through various activities, drawing on your relevant skills in sports coaching, early childhood education, and behavior management.
