Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sub-Contractor specializing in Door and Window Installations to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly installing, repairing, and replacing doors and windows across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Duties

• Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute door and window installations.
• Measure dimensions precisely using tools such as tape measures, levels, and laser measurement devices to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Handle glass materials carefully during fabrication, transportation, and installation to prevent damage or injury.
• Install a variety of doors—including interior, exterior, metal, and wood frames—and secure them using appropriate hardware.
• Fit windows of different types—sliding, casement, picture—and ensure they operate smoothly with proper sealing.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fastening, caulking, trimming, and finishing work.
• Conduct quality control checks on measurements and installation accuracy to meet project specifications.
• Handle heavy lifting of glass panels, door units, and framing materials safely while adhering to safety protocols.
• Fabricate or modify components as needed based on construction plans or site requirements.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

• Proven construction experience with a focus on door and window installation in commercial or residential settings.
• Strong knowledge interpreting technical drawings related to fenestration systems.
• Hands-on experience with glass materials handling, fabrication processes, and glass installation techniques.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for project planning purposes.
• Experience with framing systems such as metal studs or wood framing for doorways and window openings.
• Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality control purposes.
• Knowledge of schematics related to fixture installation within renovation projects.
• Construction site experience including heavy lifting, safety procedures, and working at heights when necessary.
• Lead Safe Certification is a plus.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
