Community Outreach Specialist

We're seeking a driven and empathetic Community Outreach Specialist to build and nurture relationships with local organizations that support families requiring funeral services. This position is perfect for someone with a background in hospice care, social services, or healthcare marketing who is committed to making a difference.

As our primary community liaison, you will connect with hospitals, hospices, social workers, churches, and other key partners to raise awareness of our services. Your efforts will ensure that families in Paramount and surrounding areas know where to turn for trusted support. This highly interactive role involves frequent local travel, networking, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Relationship Building: Forge and maintain strong partnerships with hospices, hospitals, social service agencies, churches, and other community groups to generate referrals.
• Community Outreach: Proactively conduct outreach visits, make phone calls, and attend networking meetings to establish and strengthen professional connections.
• Educational Events: Organize and lead informational presentations, in-services, and events (both on-site and off-site) to educate referral sources about our services.
• Marketing & Engagement: Develop and implement effective marketing and community engagement strategies to enhance our brand presence and awareness.
• Performance Analysis: Regularly track and analyze outreach activities to measure success and refine strategies for improved referral rates.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed reports, work plans, and referral tracking data to monitor performance and outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in community outreach, hospice, social work, healthcare marketing, or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Exceptional networking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Must have a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% of the time (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
