Supply Chain Managers track logistics and update the company's inventory. They analyze operational performance and resolve issues. They also collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all operations meet quality and safety standards.
This role is based in North Houston.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with our factories and suppliers, ensuring a continuous long term partnership
- Oversee all purchase orders, adjust purchase patterns, and monitor shipment and production schedules
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure lowest cost, highest quality, and timely deliveries
- Create the company’s supply chain strategy
- Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Evaluate and report on KPIs
- Monitor logistics to ensure they run smoothly
- Maintain inventory and supply chain records
- Train and guide employees
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
- Resolve issues that arise
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar field
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Working experience with relevant software
- Strong communication skills
