Mission:
To operate the process in an efficient manner while maintaining a high degree of quality of the production floor in order to exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and make adjustments to the operation process.
- Identify equipment issues in an efficient manner and involve support such as the Maintenance Team when the problem warrants.
- Must follow all procedures and documentation requirements as dictated.
- Direct and monitor execution of the production schedule.
- Trained to inspect the parts and perform process troubleshooting.
- Monitor and address safety & environmental concerns on the shop floor as well as monitor quality issues toward our goal of zero defects.
- Perform daily first piece and process inspections.
- Utilize the escalation process when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all 5S and PPE requirements.
- Visually monitor housekeeping and plant organization.
- Adhere to all safety and health procedures by working in a safe manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist supervisor or management as directed.

What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of automotive process experience
- Strong organization skills and work ethic
- Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprint drawings.
- Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Demands
- Safety glasses are required to be worn at all times within the plant.
- Physical demands require standing, working in manufacturing plant environment, walking manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily, bending, reaching, stooping, talking, working long hours and overtime as required.
- This position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colors and 100% visually inspect finished goods and completed components.
- Gross and fine motor skills are required.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
