Job Overview

Seize a rewarding full-time opportunity as a Registered Nurse on our specialized 18-bed Cardiovascular Unit. This unit provides comprehensive telemetry monitoring and cares for a diverse patient population with cardiac specialties, vascular issues, wound care needs, and a mix of complex medical and surgical conditions. You will serve as the clinical engine of patient recovery, joining a team of seasoned and experienced nurses who offer dedicated mentorship and support. Key Responsibilities

• High-Quality Clinical Care: Provide exceptional, patient-centered care utilizing the full scope of the nursing process.
• Comprehensive Assessment: Perform initial and ongoing, thorough assessments of the patient, collecting appropriate data (physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data) tailored to the patient’s age and developmental stage.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Communication: Communicate and document patient assessments effectively with the interdisciplinary team, maximizing all available resources to meet the comprehensive needs of the patient and family.
• Individualized Care Planning: Develop and document a comprehensive plan of care, treatment, and services that is individualized and appropriate for the patient's specific needs, strengths, limitations, and established goals.
• Compliance & Safety: Strictly comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and protocols governing safety, accurate medication administration, and clinical documentation.
• Care Plan Revision: Revise the documented plan of care based on ongoing evaluations of the patient's condition and update all records appropriately.
• Evidence-Based Practice: Complete at least one Clinical Research Utilization (CRU) form for submission to the Nursing Research Department, sourcing a research article published within the last five years from research performed in the United States.

Compliance & Professional Development

• Continuing Education: Complete a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.
• Mandatory Training: Complete mandatory in-services and health screens in a timely manner.
• Certification Maintenance: Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Possession of a Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Physical Demands: Physical capacity to perform Medium Work (exerting $20$ to $50$ pounds of force occasionally, and/or $10$ to $25$ pounds of force frequently, and/or up to $10$ pounds of force constantly to move objects). The role requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• At least six months of prior RN experience is preferred.

• Competitive hourly compensation within the range of $37.18 to $49.92, commensurate with your experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, and internal equity.
• A stable, full-time schedule of 36 hours per week.
• A rotating Day/Night shift schedule (7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am), requiring every other weekend and holiday coverage.
