Full Time Horticultural Maintenance Technician (Live Plant Care)

Starting position is for four(4) days (32 hours) per week to start.

(Can be up to 40 hours per week if desired)

Option #1: Four 8 hour days for 32 hour per week.

Option #2: Four 10 hour days for a 40 hour week.

This role has an opportunity to expand to more days as experience and confidence in role is gained.

Sign on Bonus $500.00

Sign on bonus paid out after 6 months and 12 month anniversaries (50/50).

starting pay: $20.00 per hour.

Additional $0.50 raise available at the conclusion of the end of the 3 month and also an additional $0.50 at the end of the 6 month probationary period.

Grundys Plantscaping is seeking a Full Time Interior Horticulturalist to service accounts in Wilmington De, Pottstown, Conshohocken and Blue Bell areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Horticulturalist is responsible for maintaining interior plantscaping accounts assigned to their care. On a structured schedule and within an allotted time frame, the "technician" maintains interior foliage (live plants) by using accepted horticultural techniques.

· Watering and fertilizing all plants as necessary.

· Keeping all plants cleaned, trimmed and oriented for proper light.

· Removing any damaged or unsightly foliage.

· Removing debris from planters and maintaining planters in a neat and orderly manner.

· Preventing damage to surrounding floors, walls and furniture from water and/or moisture.

· Keeping all plants free from disease and insects.

· Maintaining staging and top dressing for proper presentation.

SKILLS WE ARE SEEKING

· Able to think on your feet with good problem solving skills

· Detail Oriented

· Good written and verbal communications skills

· Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel

· Prior experience is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· Able to lift up to 35 lbs. consistently throughout the work day.

· Able to work four (4) days minimum per week.

· Physically fit and able to climb up and down ladders

· Valid driver license with clean driving record and own reliable transportation .

· Company vehicles are provided for the maintenance work routes.

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen including marihuana screening.

· Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changes in the daily schedule
