Job Description:
Title- Supervisor of Federal Programs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Valid Tennessee professional teacher's license required
- At least three (3) years of successful teaching experience
- Knowledgeable of the ESEA Flexibility Waiver Accountability Measures
- Knowledgeable of Title I, II and III Program/Project Operations
- Working knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
- Ability to write clear, concise, accurate and complete reports including statistics
- Strong group processing and presentation skills
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external contacts
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Schools may find appropriate
DIRECT SUPERVISION: Director of Schools
GOALS:
- To ensure Grundy County Schools (GCS) is in compliance with the requirements of ESEA legislation.
- To improve district planning, budgeting, and/or school improvement strategies
- To disaggregate, monitor, and report district achievement data in relation to federal programs
- To supervise all federal programs with fidelity.
- To supervise the following personnel/programs: Instructional Coaching Network, RTI2, Professional Development, and New Teacher Mentoring P
- To improve instructional strategies in the school system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists the Director of School with daily and general operations of the school system
- Develops, maintains, monitors the Federal Program
- Ensures Title I targeted assistance schools meet the ESEA Title I compliance guidelines
- Acts as the liaison for parental involvement for Title I targeted assistance schools
- Directs Federal Programs Monitoring and maintains all necessary documentation for audits
- Analyzes school and district data to ensure effective models and strategies are implemented
- Leads annual school stakeholder collaboration meetings to create yearly goals
- Manages all federal budgets including, but not limited to: Title I, II, IV & VI, ESSER, & Instructional Coaching Network
- Provides leadership in developing and recommending sound budgetary practices to Title I targeted assistance schools as per EDGAR.
- Provides direction and support to Title I targeted assistance schools in the development of their School Improvement Plans making sure that all ESEA Title I requirements are part of the plan
- Serves as a lead and support ensuring ESEA requirements are appropriately documented for GCS within the Tennessee Comprehensive System Wide Planning Process.
- Collects, organizes, and completes information necessary for reports and evaluations
- Assists the Curriculum/Instruction and SPED supervisors in disaggregating data, identifying needs, and establishing AMO and Gap Closure goals.
- Provides professional development activities related to understanding and utilizing data in targeted assistance schools.
- Assists with system-wide testing.
- Assists system and local schools with TCSIP and mandated accountability plans
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Schools.
The Federal Programs and Accountability Supervisor maintains a forty-hour (40) workweek and works additional hours as required to carry out all of the duties and responsibilities of the position. This is a twelve (12) month position.
