What you will be doing:
As a key part of the Facility Services team, you'll create impact by maintaining a safe, hygienic, and efficient work environment that directly supports the well-being and productivity of our manufacturing operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Clean and disinfect building interiors including floors, restrooms, windows, walls, desks, door handles, and office equipment
- Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment while maintaining outdoor grounds and emptying trash and recycling bins
- Maintain cleaning supply inventory and place orders for new products as needed
- Properly segregate and label waste (hazardous, recyclable, general) and follow environmental procedures for spill response and material handling
- Report all hazards, incidents, and environmental concerns immediately and complete all required EHS training
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and lean initiatives while shutting down equipment properly to reduce energy and water use
Above all, you are a reliable and detail-oriented professional with hands-on facility cleaning experience in manufacturing environments, strong knowledge of safety protocols for chemical cleaners, and excellent time-management skills. We would also imagine that you have:
- 3 years of relevant experience in facility cleaning within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of factory cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety guidelines for chemical cleaners
- Ability to take and follow written and oral instructions with strong communication skills
- Experience with environmental waste management procedures including hazardous waste handling
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S workplace organization principles
