Facility Janitor

What is the job about?

Grundfos is seeking a Facilities Janitor. The Facilities Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary environment throughout the manufacturing plant, including production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms and other facility spaces. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will operate fully onsite out of our Brookshire, TX facility.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa.

Your main responsibilities:

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls.
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles and office tools.
• Maintain cleaning inventory and place orders for new products when needed.
• Maintain outdoor ground cleanliness.
• Empty trash & recycling bins.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop the floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Dust furniture and fixtures.
• Adhere to all safety and quality lean initiatives.
• Use materials efficiently to minimize waste.
• Report environmental incidents (spills, leaks, unusual emissions) immediately.
• Comply with GCB Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems requirements.
• Perform the job in a way that meets all applicable laws, regulations and EHS requirements.
  
  

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in facility cleaning for the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of factory cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
